Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using Video to Text (the “Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
1. Description of Service
Video to Text provides a web-based tool that lets users upload supported audio or video files, request transcription, and export results in available formats such as csv, srt, vtt, and txt.
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
2. Accounts and access
Some features require you to sign in. You are responsible for maintaining access to your account and for the activity that occurs through it.
You agree to provide accurate information where needed and to use the Service only for lawful purposes.
3. User content and permissions
You retain responsibility for the media you upload and the way you use the output generated by the Service.
By uploading media, you represent that you have the necessary rights, permissions, or legal basis to do so.
You grant us a limited right to process your uploaded content as needed to operate the Service, including storage, transcription, export generation, abuse prevention, and service maintenance.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for illegal or unauthorized purposes
- upload media that you do not have the right to process
- upload harmful, abusive, infringing, or privacy-violating content
- interfere with or disrupt the Service
- attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, probe, bypass, or overload the Service
- misuse the Service in a way that harms us, other users, or third-party systems
We may suspend or restrict access if we believe your use violates these Terms or creates operational, legal, or security risk.
5. Paid minutes and pricing
The Service uses prepaid usage minutes for transcription. New users may receive promotional free minutes. Additional minutes may be purchased through the Service.
Paid minutes:
- are licensed for use within the Service
- are not redeemable for cash
- are not property rights
- may be changed, adjusted, or discontinued as product pricing evolves
- may be subject to eligibility, fraud, abuse, or billing review
Current pricing and package information shown on the Site are part of the offer presented at the time of purchase, but we may change future pricing at any time.
6. Refunds
Refunds are available only under the conditions described in our Refund Policy. In general, a paid order may be refunded only if the request is made within 14 days and the minutes from that specific order remain completely unused.
7. Third-party technologies
The Service relies on third-party technologies for areas such as authentication, cloud infrastructure, transcription processing, payment, email delivery, analytics, and advertising.
We are not responsible for outages, delays, policy changes, or interruptions caused by those third-party technologies.
8. Availability and storage
We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or that uploaded media and generated transcripts will remain available indefinitely.
You are responsible for exporting any results you want to keep. The Service should not be used as permanent storage.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance.
We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will function uninterrupted, secure, or available at any particular time or location.
- Any errors or defects will be corrected.
- The results of using the Service will meet your requirements.
- Any transcript will be fully accurate, complete, or fit for legal, compliance, medical, academic, or other high-stakes use without your review.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or service availability arising from or related to your use of the Service.
11. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. By continuing to use the Service after updated Terms become effective, you agree to the revised Terms.
12. Communications
By creating an account or making a purchase, you agree that we may contact you about account access, billing, refunds, product operations, and limited marketing or recovery flows related to the Service. Where applicable, you can opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe method provided in those emails.
